Clean Virginia Fund Endorses Delegate Mike Mullin for Re-Election in 2021 General Election

NEWPORT NEWS, VA, For the second straight election cycle in a row, Delegate Mike Mullin has earned the endorsement of the Clean Virginia Fund, the leading political action committee fighting for moving Virginia to 100% renewable energy and divesting from the influence of large utility monopolies in our state politics. 

Since he was first elected in 2016, Delegate Mullin has worked with his colleagues to help move Virginia’s energy production away from fossil fuels and toward renewable energy. Delegate Mullin voted alongside his Democratic colleagues to pass the Virginia Clean Economy Act (VCEA) to move our commonwealth to zero carbon emissions by  2050 and carried a bill, which passed, that created a pilot program to allow for greater renewable energy competition inVirginia.

Delegate Mullin responded to this endorsement, “I am humbled and honored to have received Clean Virginia’s endorsement for the second election cycle in a row. We’ve accomplished so much since I was reelected in 2019, but there’s still plenty of progress that needs to be made. We can expand on the Virginia Clean Economy Act and build a green infrastructure to move away from fossil fuel dependency in our cars. I will continue to work to combat climate change and protect Virginia’s natural resources.”
