End Citizens United/Let America Vote Endorse Mike Mullin
Delegate Mullin helped pass the Voting Rights Act of Virginia to expand ballot access across the Commonwealth
Newport News, VA – End Citizens United (ECU) and Let America Vote (LAV) today announced its endorsement of Delegate Mike Mullin because of his commitment to protecting the right to vote and reforming Virginia’s campaign finance laws. Delegate Mullin has fought for and supported efforts to expand access to voting since he was first elected in 2016.
“At a time where dark money special interests are erecting unprecedented barriers to voting, Delegate Mullin stepped up to protect and expand access to the ballot for all Virginians, especially people of color. His leadership and advocacy has made Virginia a model for the rest of the country,” said ECU/LAV President Tiffany Muller. “We’re proud to endorse Mike Mulllin for reelection, and we look forward to helping him win so that we can rein in the corrosive and corrupting influence of special interests and continue to protect every Virginia’s right to vote.”
Delegate Mullin is committed to prioritizing reform measures such as creating common-sense limits on campaign contributions, banning the personal use of campaign funds, eliminating dark money in Virginia elections, restricting contributions from publicly regulated utilities, and protecting and expanding access to the ballot. In addition to supporting the Voting Rights Act of Virginia, in the 2021 session Delegate Mullin voted with his colleagues to expand curbside voting, passed legislation to allow early voting on Sundays, and voted to help start the process to pass a constitutional amendment to restore voting rights in Virginia.
