Sierra Club Endorses Delegate Mike Mullin for Re-Election

NEWPORT NEWS, VA,: Today, the Sierra Club announced its endorsement of Delegate Mike Mullin in his re-election campaign to the Virginia House of Delegates.

Connor Kish, the Legislative and Political Director of the Sierra Club Virginia Chapter, was quoted as saying, “Sierra Club is endorsing Delegate Mike Mullin for re-election because of his proven record of supporting a strong clean energy future and ensuring that our air, land, and water is protected for generations to come. Delegate Mullin’s strong leadership in the House of Delegates has delivered consequential legislation that will make Virginia better for everyone. We are excited to be supporting his campaign.”

Since he was first elected in 2016, Delegate Mullin has worked tirelessly with his colleagues to work on protecting the natural beauty and environment across the Commonwealth of Virginia. Since Democrats took the majority in 2019, Delegate Mullin and his fellow legislators have passed multiple bills aimed at protecting our environment including the Virginia Clean Economy Act and the Clean Cars Standards Act. 

Delegate Mullin responded to this endorsement, “Being endorsed by the Sierra Club is a true honor and I could not be more proud. From the Chesapeake Bay to the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia is full of beautiful and vast environmental beauty that is a crucial part of our commonwealth’s history.
